If you are from Mississippi and have been following Jackson's mayoral election coverage, you will want to read the following article supplied by the Jackson Free Press. The article is from 1994 and was printed in Newsday. It was written by an investigative reporter named Jim Mulvaney. The article revisits allegations never proven that Frank Melven sexually molested 2 boys in his custody. The two boys later turned up dead, "shot to death by a person or person's unknown".
An FBI probe of the incident did not lead to charges.
